While I’m sure this lighthouse is perfectly beautiful during the day, I’m so glad the sun was setting when I snapped these photos. There are even picnic tables near the water’s edge if you want to pack a lunch for your visit.
It’s about a half-mile walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse, but there is handicapped parking next to the lighthouse (I saw some visitors drive down there to avoid the walk). I happened to skip the gym that day so I figured the mile-long walk (down and back total) was a no brainer.
FYI you can go inside the lighthouse (I didn’t want to pay the small entrance fee since it was almost closing time), which looked pretty neat when I peeked through the windows.
